Applicants should have an internationally recognised honours engineering degree (or from a closely related field) and academic referees.

Interested companies are also encouraged to make contact. Various options for funding support include the Enterprise Ireland Innovation Vouchers and the Irish Research Council Employment based scholarships.

Interested PhD applicants should identify the funding stream they want to apply to and verify their eligibility, including visa and entry requirements to Ireland. The main PhD scholarships available in Ireland include the Irish Research Council postgraduate schemes and the NUI Galway Hardiman scheme.

Postdoctoral applicatants can apply for funding from schemes such as the SFI University Research Fellowships or the Irish Research Council's Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowship, Enterprise Partnership Scheme (Postdoctoral), or CAROLINE MSCA COFUND Postdoctoral Fellowship schemes.
